  • anything that fits through the hose can run down the sluice ... that sceen is mostly used for a straight highbanker set up where we would was the rocks and clay balls

  • the suction nozzle has an expanded metal cover so all classification takes place there

  • Looks like too much water pressure to keep the fine gold particles in one place.

    I bet he found as much as he lost.

  • the frame rate of the camera makes the water flow appear faster and choppier than it is. checks of the tailings prove just the opposite of your opinion

  • So where do all the rocks that are to big to fit threw the classifier exit? I don't see an outlet it looks like they fall in the sluice defeating the purpose of it.

  • It looks like the same principal as the Angus MacKirk - Flow Master.

  • I've noticed that some sluice boxes get narrower at the bottom end. It seems to me that the water velocity would increase making it less likely to catch those gold pieces that sneak farther down.

    Yeah i could agree with that also as I have never done this before. Just a wild guess.
