It is a crying shame that MLB wont let you put the actual video of this on here. They are nothing but jerks at MLB, how long can they claim the rights to this video a million years?

one of the greatet moments in baseball history

Has there been a better homerun than that?

I am from Charlestown, NH. Where he is from.
My grandmother dated him in high school, back when it was Charlestown Highschool- Not Fall Mountain Regional High School- Unforunately, his father past away a few weeks ago, and it was the biggest turn out of people in his home town.
But fisk the legend lives on, and god speed.

Privileged to have watched this Live, on TV, having returned home from work about 45 minutes prior. Tremendous HR, (by an iconic player) game, teams, players, fans and stadium. Perfect.

Johnny Bench tells a great story about this home run. Pat Darcy is warming up and Bench knows he has absolutely nothing. Bench looks into the dugout and just shakes his head at Sparky Anderson. Fisk then hits the home run. Greatest game ever.

This was great! Carlton Fisk hits a home run to win the 1975 World Series!! Woo Hoo!! Yeah baby! Celebrate! Uh huh...........wait.....what? They didn't win that World Series? So why is this meaningless HR shown over and over again?

@thesoxpride10 I don't agree, Sox had better starting pitching than the Reds, and if they had Rice, who was injured would have had a better outfield. This was Reds third attempt to win Series in 1970's, and they had twice lost to teams with better pitching, A's and Orioles. As it was the Reds barely won this won. remember this Sox team would for next several years only slightly finish behind mega money spending Yanks of Steinbrenner Yanks, twice WS champs.

@thesoxpride10 Hey, this is the series we won 3 games to 4. And I was at this game. I still have my ticket. I was in the bleachers and paid $7.50.

I enjoyed that. Great choice of music. I was 11 then, and lived in Boston. I remember the cover of the Boston Globe the next day - three pictures side by side by side: "Lynn in the first", "Carbo in the 8th", and "Fisk in the 12th." Each a shot of the batter following thru on his swing. What a time....
