There is an interesting series of articles being written at the American Decembrist website about the rise of communism in China and Chiang Kai-Shek's resistance to it.

This is a propaganda film back in 1959.
If you ask any native Taiwanese, they would have told you a different story.
Ironically, most of the buildings and infrastructures existed more than 30 years before this film was made.

@CHENPEIYI1989 are u stupid? the communists do suck before, but they r slowly improving china. hundreds of thousands live in good standards in mainland china. it is also true that there is a lot of poverty, but communist china is getting way better each year.

That was the biggest mistake ever made. If a invasion was planned and carried out successfully by the joint operation between the U.S. and the R.O.C., there would be no major communist influence in the world today.
