I met mine when he was 2 1/2 months old and he was fully feathered...he took forever to wean out, so I didn't actually bring him home until he was 7 months...but yeah, they can look like that around 9 - 10 weeks. I think they vary from birdie to birdie :)

That is NOT 9 weeks old.. It looks more like 15 weeks or so.. She is THE CUTEST THING THOUGH! Congrats!

Yes, my friend, she was 9 weeks old here. Trust me, I didn't believe it either. She looked like a completely different bird when I went to see her. All of her pin feathers had opened up. I totally didn't think it was her.

She is such a cutie! :)
Just a little comment from an over-protective fid mom. Have you ever heard of Pulmonary Hypersensitivity Syndrome? It's a respiratory disease that can be caused by housing macaws with 'powder birds' (greys, 'toos, etc.). B&Gs are especially prone to it. I suggest you look it up because it usually is too late when it is diagnosed..
Sorry to be so negative :(
Wishing you and Madison the best.

Thank you very much for your concern. I have heard of PHS, and will be taking proper steps to help prevent it. Although, she is not far from their cages now, I have plans for a Macaw and Grey room (separate of course). And the use of air filters for the Macaws. It does take several years for it to show up, however!
Thanks again! :-)

Thank you!! She's the best baby I could've ever hoped for! She's gotten so much personality now that she's a little older (than in this video). I can't wait to see how she'll be in a couple of years! I'm really interested to see how she'll get along with my Greys. I'm sure her and Tristan will be friends. Spencer doesn't seem to want to be friends with anything that has feathers. :-)
