A glimpse into what 3 Sqn TPW do. A tour in Afghanistan which was very easy compared to those of the brave soldiers and Marines who live and work in conditions few of us will ever experience. I am by no means comparing what I did to them but this is simply for those who are interested in the RAF Police, Royal Aux air force, or 3 Sqn in particular.

when you are in the RAF police do you see alot of the "action" aka fighting that you would normally see such as being on the front line stuff like that? what is the possiblity of going to afgan and iraq?

Both actually I was at cranwell in 1999 (regulars) and at Henlow (reserves) 2005 - 2007.

is this the aux rafp? can anyone tell me what their recruitment timescales are?

Yes this is the Aux RAFP.Best way to find out is to give them a call. As I was ex regular my time was shorter but I think you're looking at about a year.Like I say give them a call they are a great bunch of guys who will go out of their way to assisit where they can.
