Cake- Motorcade of Generosity Review

A review of Cake's debut album, Motorcade of Generosity. While not as sonically varied and mature as their later releases, Motorcade is still a fun album that has a great twist on an otherwise appalling genre of music some people refer to as "country/western." It's a nice album, but they just get better as they continue to release material. 7/10 (even though I missed it in the video).

you pegged it at the beginning - Cake is just fun to listen to. By no means one of my favorites overall however they provide a good listen time and again.

Yeah I saw em in May, and I have to agree. There were some strange folks at the show, that just didn't look like they would dig that kind of music. But hey, I'm not complaining.

I actually got to see Cake last July and I gotta say that I am really surprised by how many people like this band and get fanatical for them. I mean, they just don't seem like the kind of dudes to inspire that kind of awe. They just exist...if that makes sense?
