  • The tension and brakes are set so that the bait free falls when you engage the thumb bar. You don't want the reel slowing your pitch. You do that with your thumb. You need low to the water with some velocity and then thumb it down just as its about to hit the water for a quiet entry. Just practice in the yard trying to land the bait without moving the grass.

  • @1995Blackrosedying Its just that most people use baitcasters for bass fishing.

  • why do people only flip and pitch with baitcasting poles? I never see anyone do this with spinning gear

  • so whats your breaks and pressure set to? all the way off? or just like normal?

  • very helpful thank you

  • @boss351freak I usually blame the fisherman before the reel or line.

  • @kgoch22 30lb is a little bit light for me, I stick with 65 braid..But most of the time I flip grass with 20 pound fluoro
