Snickers, Sarcasm & Sweet Talkin' - Funny Steve Moments

Fun and humorous moments from Steve Johnson during Days of Our Lives 2006-2007.

As you watch and rewatch clips, you can sometimes get a feel for when Stephen Nichols ad libs something because the reaction is so funny in the other actors.




Most obvious, watch the "tanning products" one and also the polish the patch and checking the guts out. The whole "reaching for seconds" line from now and the '80s clip gives you an idea that Stephen is "tweaking" the scripts a bit.

Even though these are "funny" scenes, they still show Stephen's amazing range. You have the slapstickness of the Daddy Daycare clips, the easy rolling sarcasm with Stefano and Tony, the intensity of his straightjacket and Stefano kidnapping scenes and then the tender humor when he watches Shawn and Belle kiss or flirts with Kayla.

Steve is such a unique character. It may have seemed strange to put in the clip where he is walking in the door, slinging his jacket and saying "Sweetness, Your man is home." But it was such an ordinary moment, where so much character is added to it. And, if you think about it, there are not many other soap characters you would see that would have that kind of walk, talk and presence in a scene.

Even in the funny S&K scenes, their connection and naturalness still show through. Steve doesn't lose his humor with Kayla at all. It just becomes more warm.

rofl. I ran into him at the mall yesterday and got a picture...I don't ever ask a celebrity for a pic, or autograph, or anything--I usually just look and giggle later.. But it's FREAKIN PATCH FROM DAYS! LOL
