Notice how much 'music' comes out of the fiddle from such little bow movement. A lot of the more traditional/ older style players (and older aged!)seem to play with very little bow movement.
Toxicpunk - a common misconception - but a 'fiddle' is a standard violin, but referred to as a fiddle in trad music circles. Playable chinese instruments - fine for beginning on, can be got from around $200-300 US.
