you would do when asked the public to show you the deck of cards for evaluation or what if the card that we choose is one of the cards you have double-sided tape?

where did you learn this trick? i saw this on penguin magic "cheek to cheek" and oz pearlman in the beginning shows the crowd the whole deck, all the faces to the crowd so that means that he couldnt have taped the cards together. so im wondering how his works compared to yours
