Nice video. I grew up in East Kilbride, but left in 1976. I recognised many of the scenes. Thank you. :)

I love Living in East Kilbride! Nothing wrong with it, it's a nice town. Could think of worse places to be.

Aaahhhh...Takes me back! Lived in EK until i was 32 and moved to the Gold Coast, Queensland! Came back for a wee holiday in 2009 and it felt like I had never been away! Must say tho......the Stuart Hotel is an absolute eyesore...and I can't believe it's been allowed to sit there looking like that!! Shame really!

@andrewprocter11 Quite obvious to many that you are in desperate need of help,,,the mental kind I mean. The thought of some low life scumbag like yourself walking around loose makes me shudder.
Yes,,I'm quite sure there are folks who are a lot more mentally competent than you appear to be locked up indefinately,,,what do they feed you anyway ??

@kramnodd12 I agree with you, I have a family member who lives in Stewartfield, it's a beautiful area.
It was 1956 when we moved to East Kilbride, a new town with lot's of wide open spaces, I went to Duncanrig in the early sixties.
I emigrated ( as many did ) in the mid sixties,,,I've been back a few times, last time was about four years ago I think East Kilbride is a very nice city ( or is it still considered a town ? )

To people saying East Kilbride is a shit hole, you really need to visit areas like Calderglen, Stewartfield, The Stroud, Hairmyres etc.. some of the poshest areas in the west of Scotland, that's no exaggeration.
