Selfish Ants

Ants are generally thought to be a creature that operate as a unified entity within a colony. However, this video captured several ants that are competing hard to get their share of an earth worm. The video is recorded in a tropical rainforest in Malaysia.

*shudders* I'm a fan of bugs and insects, but this video creeped me out a little. I found it a little disturbing that the worm was still alive during that whole ordeal. Eek!

there are several alternatives to that witch you propose. first there is no way to tell from the video if the ants are from the same colony. next the ants may have been dividing the worn up so it'll fit in the hole.
