My cousin had this song at the end of her wedding as she and her new husband were leaving the alter. It does suit this day since it's like you are going away with your friend.

After all these years I still love the movie and the song. I bought the movie a couple of years ago on the internet.

This is something that I sent to my sister...

Mom was awake when I got up, I took in a warm washcloth for her face. I went and got a cup of coffee. When I got back I said " The sun is shining, it's warm, it's supposed to reach 70", she ask, "What day is it"? I I said Saturday and the words "Saturday in the park, I think it was the 4th of July" by Chicago flashed across my mind. Then immediately I thought of "Come Saturday Morning" and how you loved that song, I did too.

I couldn't remember who sang it. I went to YouTube anyway and typed in "Come Sat" and when suggestions came up "Come Saturday Morning" came up. I saw one that said Lyrics so I went to that. It was the Sandpipers. I didn't have their album, but found the soundtrack of "The Sterile Cuckoo" on cutout for a low price. This one song was probably the reason I bought this LP. Listening to this song makes me wonder what other beautiful music they may have produced that I totally missed out on.

Brings back memories of being in High school and some nice Saturday mornings going shopping with my mother. I am glad I have the forty-five, along with "Good Morning Starshine" forty-five. Nice innocent times. I never saw the movie.
