Hay Ride 2008, scary for different reasons!

This is the portion of the crazy hay ride we were able to catch on video. Hilarious! Three adults and four kids in an open trailer hitched to a truck for a "hayride" practically taking two wheels leaving the house, or "burnt rubber" as Stacey says. The kids hear the chainsaw behind us and we want them to believe it was a dirt bike, but Brad says he thinks it's just a "dirt-bag". Because we were going so fast, Troy couldn't come out to scare us and around 1:38 (and again at 1:44) in the video, he can be heard yelling "HEY!!" Funny, funny! He had to walk the half mile or so back home because we didn't turn back. Other than driving for what must have been almost 2 hours, some of it on the open highway at about 60 mph, was the DOG that ran barking toward us (34sec); but, apparently I was the only one scared!! The night later consisted of a huge lifted truck pulling out of a barn and gaining on us with headlights blazing before he decided to pass us...some people chasing us on a four-wheeler that they were riding through a corn field...a tour to "the hanging tree" (not scary)...and a stop on "the haunted bridge", where the only scary part was the Sheriff passing us. I'm fairly positive what we were doing verged on illegal. By the end of the "ride", we were ALL (7 of us!!) buried under the hay snuggling to stay warm, and had been for at least a half hour...not sure of the temp that night, but it was COLD!! When we finally got back, Stacey and I convinced the kids to say it was fun and skidaddle, which they did nonchalantly. Brad was furious and was more difficult to convince than the kids!! That, needless to say, was the last "hayride" we ever took in that trailer!! But it was very memorable, and looking back now, a BLAST!!! :)
