To the Boy in the Lobster Sweater

Will you cringe, twenty years from now, when your fiancé is flipping through your family's photo albums, when she finds the snapshot of you standing next to the sushi bar in your parent's restaurant.

Will you remember how you reveled at the attention you received from the chefs. How you marveled at their speed as they sliced snapper, rolled rice and whacked wasabi onto plates. Or.

Will you only see the redness of the lobster print against the lined grey knit of your sweater, noting the way it rides up on the right side, how a pile of your hair pokes left.

Will you see the way she smiles at what your children might look like.
