I usually create my presentations in inDesign, but in a pinch you can get great results from Photoshop as well. I just create layers containing each of my slides, and then use layer comps to quickly export them to individual JPG's. It's then a one-click operation in Acrobat to convert them to a PDF. Nice n' easy!

  • Hi Adam,

I am working on my ID portfolio, can you please tell me, What is the best media to present a drawing, on what kind of paper?

  • @crisssb You mean for sketching, or for print? If you're sketching, Graphics 360 is the long-time favorite. For print, it really just depends on the printer you're using and the type of finish you want. I prefer satin finish papers, but that's a matter of taste.

"Presentation sketches" are really a thing of the past, sadly. Very few people do them anymore. Most design firms I work with just want to see that you know how to communicate effectively with a ball-point pen :)

    Best of luck!
