I quickly went outside just after this thunderstorm passed over our part of the city (Calgary, Alberta) and snapped up a few photos, including 120 shots that make up this time-lapse video. I assembled the stills in Adobe After Effects CS5.5, where the motion stabilization was done because I just handheld the shots. More info can be found on my blog; see links below.

  • @binarygraphite Thanks! The sky was incredibly active that evening. I consider the July 7 storm to be an even closer near-miss than the 2000 Pine Lake tornado storm.
