Thank you for putting this clip up of Madeline Bell singing this on Beatclub....i saw this years ago on a compilation of Beatclub performances on the now defunct satellite/cable channel BRAVO before it closed and have never seen it since...a superb performer..!!
Dusty was wonderful but even without her this would have been great. If you have a big wide-range voice like Madeleine Bell you can sing this song without effort. MB did a lot of back-up singing herself btw.

Dusty, Madeline Bell, and Kiki Dee are like the British Supremes.

You can hear Dusty in the background, if you listen. which in fact, she DID sing back up to this. (I think they were girl friends at this point.)

The only pairing that sounded as good or better than Eddie Kendricks and
Diana Ross were Madeline Bell and Dusty Springfield.
Gorgeous women with beautiful voices and perfect enunciation.

Well sung by Madeline, many singers have recorded this song, I like it best by Dee Dee Warwick

@UandMeKid I think that this is the main reason why this is such a great recording.
