MJ broke down MTV's racial barrier. More than 750 million MJ's five albums were bought by millions around the world during his lifetime, and millions still continue to buy more ablums since MJ passed away on Wedneday 25 June 2009 in Los Angeles. Collectively, more than 100m people have viewed his video clips on the Internet within the first ten days after MJ died.
MJ popularised a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk since March 1983, with his unique and elaborate styles and stage performances. Back in 1983, "Moonwalk" was an unseen style that became his signature dance move. His ability to keep one leg straight as he glides while the other bends and seems to walk requires perfect timing with coordinated hands and neck movements.
Referred to as the "King of Pop," five of his solo studio albums are among the best-selling in the world: "Off the Wall" (1979); "Thriller" (1982); "Bad" (1987); "Dangerous" (1991); "HIStory" (1995). Jackson had planned a comeback with "This Is It" 2009-2010 concert tour that was scheduled to start in London-UK from mid-July 2009 to March 2010. Jackson died just 18 days before the first due date. Michael Jackson's sixth album "This Is It" may be released in 2009/2010.
