Potassium Chlorate, Sugar and Sulphuric acid

This is testing out some potassium chlorate electrolysed from potassium chloride (a table salt substitute) with carbon elctrodes. The water was allowed to evaporate out of the cell and the dried chlorate mixed with sugar in a small beaker, to which concentrated sulphuric acid was added. The chlorate/sugar mixture contains a small amount of carbon impurity from anode corrosion.
