Wow--it's badly out-of-tune, but otherwise, very interesting and the result of a lot of work.
Without the percussion, it's exactly the way a church pipe organ sounds if it's played when new, and not yet tuned. It evokes a laugh from those working on it.
Lest we forget David Wasson of San Diego, who has built his own chromatic orchestrion. He has refined the instrument over the years, and cut rolls with many types of music, old, modern and clearly ground-breaking blues and jazz. So, if you google "David Wasson" and "Trudy" you will find a real 21st century orchestrion!
I have even had the pleasure of hearing it in person many times in various venues.
