O'Hare International Airport's rubber-tired, automated people-mover train system serves all domestic and international airline terminals, plus the remote parking lot E, where transfers can be made to the airport's parking shuttle buses, plus the Pace suburban bus system, and Metra's North Central Service commuter rail line. The ATS system is currently the only line in the world to use these VAL 256-type cars, the other being Metro Taipei. Eventual airport expansion plans involve an extension of the existing line (2.6 miles currently) further north, plus a new line to a new airport terminal to the south).

  • Would be nice if this "People Mover" line could be extended east across Mannheim Road to a direct connection with the Metra station at O'Hare Transfer. This could be a possible terminal for future "Airport Express" service to and from Chicago Union Station.

  • @grover9559 That would be nice, yeah. It's a pain in the butt taking the shuttle bus from the end of the line to the Metra station.
