The 24th Annual Coke Ovens Bluegrass Festival is upon us!

Great music in a gorgeous location where the whole family is welcome. This homegrown event, hosted by the all-volunteer Sequatchie Valley Historical Association, attracts some of the area's best pickers. This year's line-up includes returning bands Lou Wamp and Bluetastic Fangrass, The Rigney Family, and The Cumberland Band.

Admission is by donation. Food and drinks will be available. Local coal history museum open during the festival. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, hats, and sunscreen. Please, no coolers at the amphitheater.

Stage performances: Friday night 6-? and Saturday 12pm - ?.
Jamming: all hours throughout the park. Bring your strings and chow down!

Camping and RV spots available at the park and in town by advance reservation only.

Sponsored by Citizens Tri-County Bank.

  • Nice, thanks. I've only been to one and it was raining so the bands moved to the covered picnic areas and it was a real good time.

  • Please keep me posted on when the bluegrass festival will be for 2011. I have been wanting to go to one forever and I don't think that I live that far from Dunlap. Where abouts is Dunlap?
