  • Yes,indeed, it`s impressive!

  • Never expected to hear this on youtube. But this one sounds different than the record version.

  • It`s a fact, that not so many people listen to this kind of music. But I`m glad that there is still somebody who appreciates it. Thanx!

  • This version of "Melancholy of Departure" comes from the CD "Passages: 138 B.C. - A.D. 1611" by the Empire Brass Quintet.

  • I agree with Dengatube ! Is it a cover ? In the album version the percussions are electronic !

    -----

that's true - this in NOT the old ECM vinyl-- other keyb sounds

other voicings- it sounds here like Bb Trp-- not Flh ...

  • Awesome! We have this vinyl. FYI, there are two (or more) versions of this. Was great seeing this live with Terry Bozzio on drums and Kurt Wortman on percussion. One of the best concert opening songs ever!

  • Really great track.

It's from Isham's ECM period with pianist Art Lande.

This reminds me of my younger years.

  • I have this album !!! Great !
