To those that are saying that the lyrics are "Wait on the sons of no one" you are half correct. The original handwritten lyrics do in fact say "Wait on the sons of no one". However in a 2005 interview in SPIN magazine Paul Westerberg admitted that when he was presented with the original handwritten lyrics he didn't recall writing them and didn't remember that line at all. He had been singing "We are the sons of no one" the entire time.

Indeed the lyrics are "wait on the sons of no one" Paul lifted the lyrics from a verse in the bible.
