After viewing a video by TheNewTrickBusters, where they assert they've debunked evps, I decided a video response was in order. For one, if you've debunked something, fine, you have. However, if you haven't, and boldly claim you have, it needs accounted for. There are many reasons why making this video was important.
How terrible to mislead the public, for one, and accuse others of doing the same. Honestly, I found the video hypocritical. Where is their proof? Opinions are not proof.
I believe in ghosts because I have encountered them in many situations. I believe in evps because when I first started (which was in May 08) I got an evp (to be showcased soon) from a young female that read a STANZA from a poem she wrote two weeks before her death, that is inscribed on her tombstone. I got this evp when I was standing at her tombstone and had just finished saying, 'You know I've always loved your poems.' This evp is my most audible evp and doesn't come in a whisper. In addition to that major piece of EVIDENCE supporting the existence of spirits, I've recorded 3 other evps that match this voice.
But I'm thorough, just because I'm a paranormal investigator doesn't mean I conduct SLOPPY INVESTIGATIONS (directed at my scientist friends =). In fact, I've not released that evp because I'm waiting on the family to come to town to hear it. ODD ENOUGH, and COMPELLING, is the fact that the sister of the deceased has a voice very similar to that of my evp. But who am I to say it's HER? I'd never met her.
More interesting is the frequency of evps. EVPs have a unique frequency range that cannot be blamed on living humans or radio waves. If evps could be blamed on that and the other things skeptics point out, I'd not believe evps were spiritual in nature. But the frequency ranges and the direct responses lead me to theorize that evps are spirit voices.

  • I admire you, what you're doing is amazing. I give you all my support and I send you a big hug. Please keep on doing it, and never get discouraged. There will always be debunkers who will discredit anything.

    Best Wishes

  • @mephistophelico thank you very much! I appreciate that a lot! =) Have a great weekend!

  • At 3:05 the EVP says: "Begin!" or "Again!" Was it awaiting some special acts from you...?

  • I don't understand your question. Sorry. Have a good day.

  • Whether an audio signal is, at some stage, converted into a digital form will affect how much effective noise is added, due to the partial immunity to noise that the digital regenerative effect provides. The actual process of digital conversion will always add some noise, however small in intensity; the bulk of this in a high-quality system is quantization noise, which cannot be theoretically avoided, but some will also be electrical, thermal, noise from the analog-to-digital converted device.

  • @Tapps47 Part 3: Again logically we can assert that using ANY tape recording digital or analog to record because of the inherent flaws of audio recording, (playback or editing.) is unreliable at best. YOU can't take anything reproduced by such means as ANY viable source of proof of ghosts or spirits. Simply put it all boils down to what you want to believe. And please don't quote back the typical paranormal BS. Paranormal methodology is pseudo science at its best.

  • @Tapps47 Part 2: What you are doing is editing, using matrixing (not the actual term) for what the brain does when it can't make out a sound or image. The first EVP sounds like a bird chirp as when you were there, a bird was chirping. the second could of also been a bird chirp or other natural sound. Those filter programs use a algorithm to remove noise and background noise. They are not 100% capable of doing so. The format used to get EVPs (recording is also an algorithm) like WMA,Mp3, Wav.

  • this video is a silly. first off if you change ANYTHING in a recording it editing. You claim you don't edit.second, humans hear from 20 Hz (cycles per second) to 20 kHz (20,000 Hz). if it is above this range you would NOT hear it unless you changed the frequency (AKA edited it). if this is the case and it is. then we can logiclly that ghosts, spirits, or whatever are not trying to communicate to us. as WE COULD NEVER hear it. see part 2:

  • FAKE ?? anyone that says this needs a history lesson , there was a book printed in the early 70[s called the voices on the tapes 7 ph docs went into a Faraday cage and still got them ! Alexander Bell and every other phone and recording pioneer made notes of getting them , they tried to make phones to speak to the dead this was never tought in school for a reason they want the veil over your sheep eyes ! if you dont think there real get off your fat ass and go get one of your own!

  • Great evp work!

  • Don't you undetstand it!?
