To some people it is a really big deal. Some poeple do this for a living and when their is 120 thousand dollars on the line or a hummer like at the Spider World series paintball tournament. They would like to know the likeliness of a paintball breaking in their individual barel. I play just for fun. But some people play for a living. And I think it would be awesome to play for a living.

were would you even get a glass barrel and how much would it cost cuase i want to show up to my range and ppl go " that looks awesome "

I was wondering if a paintball hits the sides of a barrels a few times when traveling down a barrel.

I hate to say it but its wasted research as you have no idea what qauntities of compounds where used at whatever manufacturer, and the fact that paintballs deteriorate over time, aswell as with any manufacturing process, its never absolutely perfect. Chances are it could be a poor seal or thin shell wall. Its common knowledge that cheaper paint breaks more. Why? Id say its likely to be the above mentioned points, especially manufacturing tolerance.

Do they make a glass or a plexi barrel for like general sale ? if so i need one that would be a awesome set up

I think that your glass barrel might be too small for the ball. The ball might also be out if shape, and thus cause the ball to rub along the side of the barrel or in this case break due to the speed of the paintball. The humidity temperature may effect the size of the ball and you may need different barrels for certain weather conditions. Nice Experiment and GREAT footage.

@TyVan11 I don't even remember what I've written, I agree that a squeegee is better though, I've never used the swab before and don't really see their use, if they even have one.
Anyone who wants to know just ask tom kay from AGD. He did this shit over 14 years ago and it hasn't changed.

Somethings have changed. The high end paint now is a LOT more fragile than it was back when Tom did all of his testing.

Should rename this video "Guy rambles on and then something happens for about a second."

That would be pretty amusing, but I try to keep my descriptions a little more relevant. :-)
I realize not all of my videos are for everyone. :-)
Feel free to skip the sciency videos if they aren't your thing. :)
