An song from a Kaali Maa tribute video, Direction by Dharmesh Tiwari, Music by Nandu Honap. The Kali story is a beautiful one which involves Kaali born out of the head of the mother goddess Durga in order to vanquish an army of demon clones. Because this demon spawned a new clone every time a drop of his blood touched the ground, Kali had to immediately consume all the blood of every foe she killed. Her primary goal is not death, as depicted in western film. Instead, she bestows kindness upon the world by spurring the passage of time so that new things may live and grow. So, contrary to the depictions in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," Kali is very much about balancing life AND death, while being a stern yet loving mother to her children.
