Scene 2 from a group project for school. This will not make sense by itself, but it was still fun to shoot.

  • I had heard this was done with an SGPro, is that correct? If so, We live in Michigan and SGPro seems to only have a UK website, do you know how to get one of these adapters in the US?

I want to try to avoid shipping over seas at all costs

  • Hey GoodrowProductions,

I bought my SGpro from them when I lived in NJ. It cost about 40 bucks or so to ship it and came in 3 days. You won't find them being sold here unless they are used (or new and recently bought from SG on Ebay or something).

    Hope that helps.

  • Daamnit! Everything was great till he opened his mouth "..where am I?" WTF.. cmon guys a lil innovation would've mixed perfectly with the awsome cinematography...

  • Haha. I don't really care about the acting in anything I shoot since I just use friends (not real actors). I enjoy that actual shooting side much more.

But yes, that line is cliche.

  • Also, what were your upload settings for this? I might try to upres some DVX footage...

  • Hey thanks. I used the HVX200. I exported an uncompressed 1280x720 quicktime, then compressed that with the same resolution and a bit rate of 8000. It was like 300mb or so.

  • Thanks for the reply, i guess $40 isn't all that bad for the adapter, and I've been told they are a pretty solid brand, by the looks of your short, they are good enough for me

  • Ohh I love the colors!

    good work!

  • What camera was this shot on? HVX? It looks incredible! Nice work man.

  • Thanks for the compliment, it turned out better than I had expected. I tried not to rush it, but I had to get it done for a final project so I ended up rushing too much and having to re shoot a lot. I do everything in Sony Vegas's 3 way color correctors, curves filters and contrast filters. I just fiddle until I like it
