A note from AY: This entire experience has inspired me to do more and take it to the next level. @probablestars, @Mel29156 I think it's reasonable to assume that Melissa created the YouTube account to support AY (there's only one video) and probably set up her own computer to do the recording as well (as she's evidently the one to stop & start the recording). And I know I have a hard time not looking at my reflection when recording; why can't she? Here's hoping for more videos.

I have been out for more than 34 years & I'm still waiting for it to get better. I lost my job due to homophobia & only got rehired because my firing was a violation of union rules (the Republicans want to destroy all unions). Where I work now my coworkers are anti-gay (due to their african-american-conservative-­christian beliefs) and I have to pretend to be straight. I have never had a partner, boyfriend, or lover, & at my age I have no hope ever to find one, gay people are very ageist. No hope

i used to think canadians had it easy because gay marriage is legalized throughout the entire country. but watching canadian people tell their stories really opened my eyes. hell, in america more states allow marriage between first cousins than gay couples. what the fuck?
