@mindlesspup Thanks, I'll have a listen to the Korg 700S sounds to see if anything resembles it. Probably a layer of sounds as you say. Tony used it on Yukihiro Takahashi's Drip Dry Eyes track as well.
@SivonMusic Hey - the only thing I found was NM used a Korg 700S keyboard. Among compressors and choruses I have no idea. The sound is quite distinct on A Map of You, and others. i'm a guitar player but their tones and layers are astounding. Cheers.
Beautiful as ever. Saw them perform this on Swap Shop in 1981. So ahead of its time. If anyone knows what keyboard produces that beautiful bell-like sound on the choruses can they let me know. It's on a few of their tracks, such as Changing Minds, and I've never been able to identify it. The choirs are Roland VP330 and percussion is CR78.
I have always LOVED this song and hadn't heard it in about 30 years. I am from Uruguay, where they used to play it on the radio all the time around 1980, 81 or thereabouts. It totally brings me back to my childhood. What a great song, thank you for posting it!!
Just brilliant

@SivonMusic Funny you should mention YT! I've got my original copy of Neuromantic.
I still play it loud, there are some amazing tracks on that LP. Of course anything Tony produced is magic.

Wonderful to hear this again, I love the submarine sound and that gorgeous 12 string guitar in with all the synths simply nothing like it.
