The way of stick by Pascal Krieger (menkyo Kaiden).... GREAT BOOK!

  • i am looking for a good book or video about shinto muso ryu. what is recommended?

  • @Aur0rah

Shinto muso ryu is only the first to include jo technique. There it lot more school then Aikido or Aikijujutsu that teach Jo. Wikipedia list 16. Seach for Jodo on the wiki.

  • @Aur0rah

Aikido is inspired by the way of aiki. Aiki is a fundamental principle of most japanese combat technique. Aiki principles work empty hand, with a jo, with a sword or anything else really.

This video is about Shito muso ryu, a ancient school(koryu) of Jodo and other arts.

  • Short but sweet

  • aikido is inspired by jo and bo-ken.

  • other japanese martial arts do teach jo techniques too such as aikido and aikijujutsu

  • If you wanna do Jodo as featured in this clip then my recommendation would be that you seek out Kaminoda Tsunemori of the Tokyo SMR-Jodo community.

  • Dugall58, the Shinto Muso Ryu jojutsu system is taught in Australia. At least it is in Brisbane (at the University of Queensland along with Niten Ichi Ryu).

  • I've done Jodo in Japan and Australia but I want to do Jodo like this video. Anybody know where I can learn to do Jodo like this.
