  • It's the red pill or the blue pill. If you want to feel good about people and believe they're noble, watch Dr. Phil; if you want to know the truth, study evolutionary psychology.

  • LOL, what a brilliant comment, eswyatt. I'm remembering (and stealing) that one.

  • More people should watch this, more people should be spreading this guys work. Very eye opening.

  • Science requires falsifiable hypotheses.

Good scientists acknowledge the assumptions they make.

Using "science" in a statement is not the same as making an argument supportive of or indvalidating whether evolutionary psychology provides sufficient explanations of human behavior.

  • Drewcrazy, it might be guesswork from my part, but you seem to not appreciate the way science explains things. The explainations may seem shallow, but they are better understood as specific rather than shallow. Science is to the point - the richness of science manifests itself in the way multitudes of theories collaborate to tell us how the universe works.

And granted, evolutionary psychology seems harsh; but it also has theories on empathy, altruism, motherly love, reciprocity, etc.
