@usatennispro But hard on the mascara my wife tells me !
-
@usatennispro possibly one of the most charming comments I have read on YOUTUBE Fortune bless you .
-
I was at his concert in Dallas Jan.28 2012 and he still
has it
-
@TahoeLegend As ggod as this is, there is a version better than this, by the obscure and incomparable BILL MASON.
-
If this doesn't touch you then you have no pulse.
-
what is the nowadays band who copied the last notes of this song??
-
One of the best if not the best, songwriters ever. His voice gives creadence to his songs as if all that he's written he's expeianced. Not unlike Willie and Kris.
-
To all of you expressing your comments, you're just as special to those who know and love you. I know Gordon would remind us of that.
-
@usatennispro agree with your feelings on him. ive met the man twice after concerts. the thought of losinghim. when GOD forbid his time is up. that will be rough forhis family, his children, and his fans too
-
To think of the many meanings that these lyrics can inspire.....God bless you Gordon. You truely have made this planet a better place to live..Play on......
-
Very sentimental song by Gord and delivered perfectly. Lightly with an almost wistful voice. One of Gord's best.
-
Life is fleeting for us all, and having Gordon Lightfoot in my life has enriched the experience for me, help make it sweeter. I have lost those who matter to me, and the thought of losing Gordon is already affecting me, lifes bitter sweet journey that must end. I'm one of the lucky ones.

@usatennispro indeed it is. allows ones soul to open up. :")
-
@buffey aye. i had seen gordon in concert in march. carter lancaster was playing. i imss terry deeply. i got home that night and made a tribute video to him
-
@buffey As was I. I also just discovered that Red Shea, who would have been playing lead guitar on this incredible recording, died of pancreatic cancer in 2008. I hate hearing that such amazing talent has left the world.
-
Somewhat of a heart-wrenching song. Lightfoot has got to be the most talented lyricist ever.
-
@usatennispro Indeed it is..............
-
crying is good for the soul.
-
@usatennispro i did too many timesi still do when i watch teh videos here. and the ones ive made for him as well. was done as a fan, and to show how much his music and personality means to me
-
@tonywsmith2 Hoorah. indeed. and a man that will stop what hes doing to talk with you to laugh to carry on.
-

-
sad that we have vets that live like this
-
Doesn't get any better than this. Sad to learn just tonight of Terry Clements passing in February.............
-
I've loved him from the first time I heard him.. and after living in Nova Scotia, I understood him even more.. I guess some 40 yrs now.. he is as good as it gets
I first heard Gordon Lightfoot in San Francisco during the Summer Of Love and I have loved his music ever since.
A truly great songwriter, singer and guitar player.
This song has always been one of my favorites. I don't know how a guy as young as he was then had the wisdom to write a song like this one.
He was handsome as a movie star in those days.
I was lucky as hell to wind up in San Francisco during The Summer Of Love, and I was lucky as hell to discover his music.
