2010 Mustang GT (left lane)
- Stock

vs

2009 Cobalt SS Turbo (right lane)
- Catback exhaust
- Tune (20psi)

My cobalt came in at around 290whp and well over 330wtq (thats why my stock clutch is going out) on the dyno after the listed mods above, however my clutch has started to slip so I have no idea what im getting anymore.

  • You sure it's the clutch? I got the Stage1 kit on a 2010 SS/TC and I get mad wheelspin in mid-to-high 2nd gear...sometimes 3rd if it's just me in the car.

  • @danscudder

It starts to slip in 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear. The stock GM clutch is only rated at 290TQ and 290 HP. I'm 100% sure its my clutch thats slipping and not wheel spin.

  • good kill but expected with 20lbs of boost. either way, nice kill

  • @rahu8670 Comes stock with 17 (at least thats what mine hit all the time) so i only raised the boost by 3psi lol.

  • it's not safe!

  • @ZupaNic1

Ya, neither is smoking yet there are millions of people doing it every day.

  • @2amProFilms true true

  • @tyc4me The cobalt gave the mustang every bit of advantage; a turbo FWD vs a RWD from a dig (aka: dead stop). Driver mod may be needed but it is what it is.

  • wtf that was no kill if the mustang would cught traction it woulda took off a little faster .

  • @MooreProductionsMP3 Maybe they upgraded the clutch for 2010? Mine doesn't slip at all @ 25PSI, 290HP and 340TQ with 10,500mi.

  • If the clutch is slipping on 20psi, the tune needs a more linear boost ramp...

  • @murdrum2007 I guess common sense is completely lost amongst the new generation of kids today. If you would actually watch the video you would see that from 0:28 - 0:32 the cobalt (right lane) was a good 2-3 car lengths ahead of the mustang therefore common sense would tell you the Cobalt won.

  • how come on these type of racing videos no one ever let u know won, i guess the mustang won?

  • @gtstru Nope still just has Catback and HP tune on it. Kan at KanTuning is who tuned my car. Did a great job, still holding strong to this day.

  • I dont need it hidden anymore though I do like the thought.....i want a safe powerful tune

  • @maanyoutalkalot No point in getting both. Stage 1 is not worth the price. TBH I think trifecta is the best due to the fact that it is hidden.
