One of my all time favorite songs. Also done excellently by The Cake.

This is a great example of the "girl group sound" of the 1960's. I absolutely love this tune as sung by Leslie Gore! This definitely should have been a hit in its day. In fact, my wife and I recently saw Ms. Gore in concert in Pawling, NY, and had the wonderful opportunity to talk with her following the concert. During our brief conversation, I actually cited this particular song as one of my favorites in her catalog. Nice to see her work well represented on YouTube.

Jackie DeShannon wrote this song. A GREAT pairing of composer and singer, I must say. Wish Leslie had the chance to sing more Jackie tunes - I think she handles them much better than Brenda Lee, honestly.
