The wide variety of jumping spider behaviour never fails to amaze me. As far as I have seen, male jumping spiders will do a mating display/dance before cautiously attempting to mount a female. This guy here however, truly lives up to its family name as a jumping spider... which he literally does so even in the mating process. Probably a way to avoid the larger female fangs and a quick way to latch on to its target. Looks to me that this as a plan B method when the plan A method of gentle approach doesn't work. Makes me wonder wheather there is a plan C...
