Norfolk Southern Turkey Day Trains, November 23-25, 2011

Over Thanksgiving break, Hammerhead Productions headed trackside for some exciting action along the former Reading Company tracks through Reading, PA. From foreign power on freights to veteran EMD engines throttling up, this video has it all. We start out at wyomissing to catch an extra 16T with a UP SD9043MAC and never look back, seeing H68 with even more western power and H47 with ex-conrail geeps coming off the S&L branch and then charging east up the low grade to switch Deka batteries. Later, on Black Friday, we see 17G at wyo with an equally impressive EMD lash-up, along with several more trains around town.
