I just listened to Dylan's version. Van does it best -- he has the voice, the range, the soul! No goosebumps in Dylan's song. This version puts a lump in the throat along with a million shivers. Sublime!

I know what you mean. But check out Richie Havens' version of this song. Really soulful. And Dylan's own version of Dylan singing Just Like A Woman at the Concert for Bangladesh is a great take on the original, too. You might also like Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders' version of Positively 4th Street. Quite haunting.
