Pistols are useless and shit excercise. Don't bash on me, i am a pro at pistols and i discovered my squat didn't increased EVEN after months of pistols. I wasted my time. Together we shall say: FuK pistol squats.

I do my pistol squats holding a 15 lb. weight on an upside down Bosu ball or an Indo board for a bit of a challenge, 2 sets of 10 each leg!!! Best leg workout I do..

read convict conditioning if you want a good program to work your way up to the pistol squat

@LuciferSensui Probably slightly below your body weight, since a weighted squat employs both legs. Thing is, the pistol squat requires muscles that a regular squat doesn't even use due to the balancing aspect of it, so it's hard to compare.

That's awesome that you're going to give these a shot! Just be careful about the Rate of Perceived Discomfort to your knees. Anything that gives you pain above a 3 on a scale of 1-10 should be modified or discontinued (at least temporarily).
