Two state troopers and the Little Beaver Township Police Chief received special honors today from the Pennsylvania State Police for their quick and heroic actions earlier this year. Little Beaver Township Robert Kuhn, Trooper Gary Johns and Corporal David Kelly received letters of commendation for "outstanding performance of duty" during a brief ceremony at the PSP Detachment in Neshannock Township. Last July the three struggled with a man and woman. The man held a gun to the chief's head when police came to rescue two children from deplorable living conditions. The troopers and Chief Kuhn made brave and life saving decisions and everyone came out of the situation unharmed.
