I have succeeded doing this on my 1st bike with some Geax UST tires on WTB SpeedDiscs. Now im trying to do it again on my second rig with Mavic 117's and a set of Kenda k837's i cannot for the life of my get the tire to inflat. I have used a compressor, two different kinds of pumps and nothing. Soapy water, forming the tire, the whole 9 on the directions over and over and nothing. Anybody else out there have a trick they used when they ran into this scenario?
havent been able to seal it :( givin it a try after work for the past two days now and the only success i had was to put the 2 layers of yellow plus the original rim tape from the rim over that. got it to seal without sealant and then after i got sealant in i barely got it to seal let it sit flipped it shaked the whole deal then i let a little air out of the presta and it lost all hope and died. any ideas? did this take you guess this long? a lot of repeated trial and error?
@gondwanalon There's already a product designed to do that called "slime." The advantage of running tubeless is for running lower pressures and to shave weight.
All that effort for going tubeless. Pass! I'll rather have a tube tire than doing all this crap.

@danielpaulrules I just fill my tires with helium to keep the weight down.

@danielpaulrules Also, there's no friction between inner and outer tyre. More comfortable ride. :)

Hi
Tried for an hour to get some pressure in my tires with no luck. Got a hold of a compressor but still no luck.
No big deal really. Tubes aren't that much of a hassle and I rarely do get a puncture.

@snakeybhoy c'mon, snakey, if you're going to say something like that, you have to explain what didn't work, why it didn't work, what happened.
