Confessions of a Nursing Student (2 1/2)

HI Guys...here is the synopsis of my first semester...there is a confession or two in here so I hope you enjoy. The books that I talk about are (1) "The Prentice Hall Comprehensive Review For NCLEX-RN Reviews and Rationals" and (2) Mosby's Pharmacology Memory NoteCards. The entire time I was editing this the clip was getting caught...and being slow on me...so I wanted to go ahead and up load it and see if it was my camara or the computer...so if its messed up know that I'm working on a better version of it.

Its the prentice hall NCLEX review book...it should be in the discription...on the righthand side of your screen. Its really good. So helpful!

Do you have to take the HESI? If so have you started studying for it? I take mine in April. We need an 850, only 2 times to pass.

I don't think I do, because I've never heard of it before. We take the NCLEX when we graduate. I have started studying for NCLEX I try to do a handful of questions a day...

@iwasnotthere4 Considering there was no date, time, pt diagnosis, clinical site, on and on.....you should re-read HIPAA. There is no hint of a violation here. You are one of those people who read into the law too much and have been brainwashed by risk and HR.

aah!! i cant wait for nursing school!..im still on my prerequisites all i need is micro and chem :) anatomy 1 and 2 ARE THE hardest classes i have EVER taken...EVER!...BUT i made it out with A's!!..it took 24/7 of studying but i made my A so im happy lol.. i wonder how microbiology will be? hmmmm...

are you in the associates program or the bsn? im going for my bsn which is a 4 yr program and i would like to know if there is something you recommend i do for better study habits and to be better prepared for the program. what was your gpa when you started program what is it now?

Was the TEAS test hard? The pre-test that you have to take before you get into the program.

@Bunsdent "professor" huh? What are your credentials? ADN, maybe BSN? What's your role at your program? You sound like you have some resentment against nursing students?

Poor attitudes like your's is why people do quit nursing school because the instructors are terrible and play gate-keeper. Most of my instructors are more focused on their masters degree than teaching. Doesn't one take a pay cut to become an instructor? Makes me wonder...

Please, quit teaching nursing.

Did the comprehensive book come with a cd or not b/c I've heard a lot of great reviews on this book and I am seriously thinking of buying it b/c i start nursing school on tuesday of next week and i've read on half, abe, amazon, and a host of other book buying websites and some come with a cd and some don't!! =-]
