Two trains stopping at the Cluny-La Sorbonne station of the Paris Métro in the Latin Quarter, followed by a brief ride inside the train. Shot just as a test of low light conditions.

The Cluny-La Sorbonne station is in the heart of the Latin Quarter, below the intersection of the boulevard Saint Michel and the boulevard Saint Germain. The ceiling of the station is decorated with tile mosaic representations of the signatures of famous historical figures who once lived or worked in the Latin Quarter, such as Voltaire, Robespierre, etc.

The sights and sounds of the Paris Métro, like those of any subway, are highly consistent and characteristic. If you've ever lived in Paris, you'll never forget what the subway sounds and looks like, and so this video should trigger some memories if you're not in Paris now.

  • very nice indeed! i look forward to seeing more metro clips from you ^^

  • Very nice! I loved the Paris Métro. I also loved the sound they make. I was also interested in the tyre system to make the ride more... erm... bouncy :) I would love to return but I've forgotten about half of the French I learned for five years.

Je voudrais pratiquer parler en francais mais après 1 l'année pas de parle en francais c'est difficille :P
