@mfitz1969 Yes the PAK 40 had a large range, but this was rarely exploited on the western front. On the other hand it was too heavy to be moved without vehicles and frequently abandoned by the crew when they had to withdraw. I think the PAW600 would have been the best overall compromise, considering the war situation and lack of self-propelled chassis.

@ThePerfectRed PAW600 was a better infantry AT gun due to its light weight but had a much shorter effective range than the PAK 40 which would have made it pointless in a self-propelled mounting. Different tools for different jobs.

Haha...I wanted to watch this b/c i just bought the PAK40 model kit yesterday...finished it today...took my 11 hours :P and that was my very first model, so i think it turned out prtty good...nice vid :D

8cm PAW 600 rules! The punch of a PAK40, less than half its weight and could also be used as an effective field artillery.

The guns shown firing in this video are 3,7cm PaK 36 L/45, 5cm PaK 38 L/60, 10,5cm leFH 18, 7,5cm PaK 40 L/48, 8,8cm PaK 43 L/71.2 and the last shot is a 8,8cm FlaK 41 L/74. The knocked out tanks show are russian T-26 single turrets. There were also short film of 7,5cm Pak 97/38(f) being towed and 10,5cm leFH 18/40 (mitt)'s on a flat rail car. The German AFV is a StuG III Auf. B, C or D.
