  • Getting my 1st telescope very soon. Still trying to make the right choice for my wife. She want's to observe the planet's mostly juipter and saturn. My eye's have been on this model with the Go-to-mount but also the dobsonian xt8. Since this is a great view of Saturn my wife would be please to see. What eye-piece was you using and barlow lens. Just asking about what would be better for planet's and some nebula's my wife would love to see?

  • @angelo69jes Very exciting getting the first scope. The 4se is a great scope for observing Jupiter and Saturn. My opinion would be the 4se. It is a great little scope. I was using the 25mm eye-piece along with a 2x Barlow. I think you should go with the 4se, it is great for the price!

  • @thecaliforniazephyr Thanks man. How much does it weigh? I'll be transporting alot living in apartment and having alot trees at back so alot of traveling to the truck to the apartment.

  • @angelo69jes No problem. It weighs about 20 pounds.

  • Would you get greater magnification with the 8SE ?
