Andre an Occupy demonstrator attended the Occupy State of the State address in Michigan on January 18, 2012. He was arrested shortly after leaving the capitol building for wearing a mask in public. However there is some confusion over this point because Andre believes that he is on private property owned by a local restaurant. A staff member of that restaurant later confirms that to be true in this video... The event was very peaceful, containing mic checks, marches around the capitol, and high spirits despite the very cold 20 degree night. This arrest was the only incident that was reported during this occupy event. The police were overall friendly, although apprehensive to talk to cameras.

I would like to mention that Andre is speaking for himself and his speech does not necessarily reflect the opinions of any particular Occupy movement. I say this because I mentioned Occupy Lansing in the title of this video, but Andre is not speaking on behalf of Occupy Lansing.

  • @LeadRat under you tube watch John Stossel's Illegal Everything

  • @LeadRat yup here

  • @MrSmart0ne do you have a link to the clip of Stossel?

  • Go to a bank while wearing a mask and see what happens.

  • @kissofdawn2012 you are mistaken. Businesses (yes that includes restaurants and eateries) are private property, and the owner can make their own rules for what is permitted on that property, period. This guys problem is he was on a sidewalk OUTSIDE the restaurant. (which could be either public or private depending on the situation) think before you post to avoid embarrassment

  • @WOLFERMONLATINO mucho DRESKI
