Hackett was a bit of a maniac at times. He once shot out the tires and windshield of a car in Vegas that was parked in his spot. God, he could be so funny, though.

Burnett looks better here than I've ever seen her look before.

Beautiful lady...inside and out.

4:58 John calls her "Karen" Lol!

@petclark1 The title was actually "Fade Out, Fade In."

The Broadway show thery're alluding to was called "Fade In, Fade Out" and it was apparently an unmittigated disaster. Carol spent more time in court defending her claim that it was illness that kept her from staying with the show, than the little time she was actually in the train-wreck of a production. I guess it's one of her few really BIG flops.

Though I watched this episode and the other What's My Line episode if her, I've never really cared for Carol Burnett. Lucille Ball has also been more hilarious too me: thoug I did enjoy the episodes Burnett did on Miss Ball's show The Lucy Show in the 1966 to 1967 season (aka season five) of her series.

they were so congenial back then

I miss her T.V. show so much. She had the best show back then.
Carol is so wonderful. Such a funny comedian!

@rasputin63 There is absolutely no way that Carol Burnett was ever even a smidgen like Kathy Griffen. If you think so, there is no hope for you. Carol had and has more grace, humor, and style than that trashy bimbo Griffen could ever HOPE to have.
