  • When first learning the basic forms, accuracy, concentration, and muscle memory are the most important aspects. Afterwards, it is sensitivity and free sparring. Speed, Flexibility, and Agility are the principle essences of this style, but it takes a very long time to master these. It's not going to happen in a few months (not if u want to learn to apply the actual mantis techniques). That is just the way it is.

  • @NassemAir yes and no, correct in many forms but not so in others. the legends about mantis hail it as the fastest thing in the land, able to defeat the most skilled opponents in a matter of seconds. and i meant that the speed could indeed break ones own concentration, sorry for not explaining that part. timing is the great part of speed. without timing speed is pointless unless you can use it to your advantage. not just about fighting either.

  • sorry but this ist wrong , mantis is not supposed to be fast! it supposed to be powerful, effektive and good at timing. speed can break concentration , but just your own. if u think its possible fight against fullcontact people.

  • @NassemAir preying mantis is supposed to be fast. although speed can break concentration.

  • I like it.

  • too fast but u have good skills

  • pretty much every mantis style has a version of Bung Bo Kuen. It's the original form that the first mantis master taught all his guys=)

  • DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD i take tai chi mantis and i have a form named bung bo too!!! :]

    except mine has more jumping

and btw tai chi has nothing to do with my kung fu, its just the name

  • good work not to fast

  • pretty traditional looking, a little different than mine, great work...a Praying Mantis teacher in Upstate New York
