http://www.dolphinstreet.com - Here is a demo of the Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s, with a Fender Pro Junior. I didn't use any pedals in this video. It was guitar - cord - amp. I added a little bit of reverb to the guitar when I mixed it down, just so that it wouldn't sound so super dry, since I have very little natural ambience in my recording studio. I use 09 - 46 D'addario strings, and the action is set quite high. I roll off the volume knob and tone knob here and there in the video - pay attention to that when you hear a difference in the guitar tone, as you are listening to this video.

  • I already play bass and I was wondering if this is a good beginner guitar. Also, I was wondering how versatile it is, I normally listen to indie rock and punk so it's not that big of a deal, just would be a good thing to know. Thanks in advance.

  • @Orangemongoose1 Sure, this guitar works for almost anything. Well maybe not metal.

  • Nice one Rob. You've coaxed me back :) What is the riff you play starting at 1:38. I'm sure I know it. Just cant put my finger on it. Would love a lesson for that one.

    Cheers

  • @114Greg that depents on the sound and feel YOU prefer.

  • does this work good for punk and grunge?

  • @114Greg They are both really different, it really depents on the music you want to play.

  • Great playing! All guitars sound really good in your hands.

Do you prefer a high actions on all guitars or just on this one

  • very nice

  • @rotren Per the Mexican Strat vs Squier Deluxe Strat.. its been said the QC on the latter is far greater and more consistent. I have a Squier Jagmaster and it has always played great.. no problems. I did do a p/u upgrade to some Seymour Duncan 59's.. even though the Duncan Designed stock p/u's sounded great :-)

  • Sounds very nice! I've entertained the idea of getting one. Robert, you'd make a Sears guitar sound good! ;-)
